In November 2024, we were delighted to hear we had won an award for the Hallaton Helmet redisplay from the Society for Museum Archaeology at their Annual Awards for Excellence.
The judges gave some really nice feedback for the redisplay
“…beautifully executed and willed into existence through expert engagement with stakeholders and funder.”
“I really love this project…well organised and delivered and great engagement with everyone involved.”
“The balance of tactile and digital is particularly nice.”
Helen Sharp, Curator of Archaeology and key project team member in the redisplay, collected the award at the Society for Museum Archaeology conference in November 2024. Thank you to everyone who has come to see the Hallaton Helmet, new replicas and never-before-displayed cheekpieces and all your enthusiasm!
