Did you know that the jet engine developed in Britain was manufactured in Lutterworth, by Sir Frank Whittle?
One of the objects that tells the amazing story of Harborough district is our model of the first British jet engine. While we don’t have space for the real thing in our museum, you can see one at Lutterworth Museum.
